Ingredients

  • 1 Nonstick cooking spray for coating the cups
  • 1 egg yolk large
  • 1 tsp water
  • 1 sheet (about 8 oz) puff pastry frozen, thawed but cold
  • 8 oz Brie cut into 16 pieces
  • 0.33 cup whole-berry cranberry sauce
  • 0.25 cup pecans chopped

Equipment

  • 1 6-quart air fryer
  • 16 2-inch silicone mini muffin cups

Method

  1. Preheat a 6-quart air fryer to 350°F for 3 minutes.
  2. Lightly coat 16 2-inch silicone mini muffin cups with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk the egg yolk and water together.
  4. Cut the puff pastry into 16 equal squares and press one square into each prepared cup.
  5. Brush the exposed pastry edges lightly with egg wash.
  6. Add one piece of Brie and 1 teaspoon cranberry sauce to each cup.
  7. Divide the pecans evenly among the cups.
  8. Arrange the cups in the air fryer basket in a single layer without crowding, working in batches as needed.
  9. Refrigerate the uncooked bites until their batch is ready.
  10. Air-fry at 350°F for 8–10 minutes per batch, until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
  11. Let the bites rest in their cups for 5 minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Keep the puff pastry cold while preparing the bites for a flakier result. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days; freezing is not recommended. For a nut-free option, replace the pecans with pepitas.
