Air Fryer Cranberry Glazed Ham with Brown Sugar

Air fryer cranberry glazed ham with brown sugar gets a glossy, tangy-sweet coating after cooking in foil and finishing uncovered. The air fryer keeps this boneless ham tender while the cranberry glaze thickens on the stovetop.

Ingredients

For the cranberry glaze
  • 1 cup whole-berry cranberry sauce
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp orange juice
For the ham
  • 1 ham 2 lb, fully cooked, boneless, unsliced

Equipment

  • 1 6-quart air fryer

Method

Make the cranberry glaze
  1. Combine the cranberry sauce, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and orange juice in a small saucepan and simmer over medium-low heat for 4–6 minutes, stirring often, until the sugar dissolves and the glaze thickens slightly.
Air-fry the ham
  1. Preheat a 6-quart air fryer to 300°F for 3 minutes.
  2. Place the ham on a large piece of foil and wrap it loosely, keeping the foil seam on top.
  3. Place the foil packet in the air fryer basket without blocking the air vents.
  4. Air-fry at 300°F for 30–40 minutes, until the center reaches 125–130°F, checking with an instant-read thermometer and adding time in 5-minute increments if needed.
  5. Carefully open the foil and brush the ham all over with about 1/3 cup of the glaze.
  6. Air-fry uncovered at 350°F for 5–8 minutes, until glossy and heated to 140°F in the center.
  7. Serve the ham with the remaining glaze.
  8. Rest the ham for 5 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For the most even cooking, check the center temperature and add time in 5-minute increments as needed. Refrigerate leftovers for 3–4 days or freeze them for up to 2 months. For a gluten-free meal, check that the Dijon mustard and ham are labeled gluten-free.
