Toasted walnuts
  • 0.33 cup walnuts chopped
Baked Brie
  • 1 wheel (8 oz) Brie cheese
  • 0.33 cup fig jam

Equipment

  • 1 small skillet
  • 1 6-inch oven-safe baking dish

Method

Toast the walnuts
  1. Toast the walnuts in a small dry skillet over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring often, until fragrant; transfer to a plate.
Bake the Brie
  1. Heat the oven to 350°F and place the Brie in a 6-inch oven-safe baking dish.
  2. Spread the fig jam over the top.
  3. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the Brie feels soft when gently pressed and is just beginning to ooze.
  4. Scatter the toasted walnuts over it.
  5. Rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Toast the walnuts until fragrant and watch closely so they do not burn. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days; freezing is not recommended. For a nut-free option, omit the walnuts.
