Ingredients

  • 8 cup apple cider
  • 4 cup cranberry juice cocktail
  • 1 orange medium, sliced
  • 1 apple medium, cored and sliced
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tsp whole cloves
  • 1 tsp whole allspice berries

Method

  1. Combine the apple cider, cranberry juice cocktail, orange, apple, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and allspice berries in a 6-quart pot.
  2. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
  3. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 30 to 45 minutes.
  4. Strain out the fruit and spices.
  5. Serve warm.

Notes

For a clear drink, strain thoroughly before serving. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 4 days; freezing is possible, though the flavor and texture may change slightly. For a lower-sugar option, use unsweetened cranberry juice instead of cranberry juice cocktail.
