Ingredients

  • 1 apple medium, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1 pear medium, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries halved
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) dry red wine
  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 0.25 cup brandy
  • 0.25 cup orange liqueur
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 cups club soda chilled
  • ice for serving

Equipment

  • 1 3-quart pitcher

Method

  1. Add the apple, pear, and cranberries to a 3-quart pitcher.
  2. Pour in the wine, apple cider, brandy, and orange liqueur, then add the cinnamon stick and stir to combine.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  4. Stir in the chilled club soda just before serving.
  5. Pour over ice.

Notes

Keep the club soda separate until just before serving for the best fizz. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 2 days; freezing is not recommended. For an alcohol-free option, use nonalcoholic red wine and replace the brandy and orange liqueur with extra apple cider.
